CC-C is run by Leo Meyer (1948). He has a long career in the interface between climate science and policy. In the 1990s he contributed to the development of climate policy in the Netherlands as a civil servant at the Dutch Ministry of the Environment, and he was a negotiator for the Dutch Government in the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Over the last 13 years, he worked for PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) managing several major IPCC assessment reports, including the most recent Synthesis Report (2015) . These reports bring the most critical climate science information to the podium of politicians and decision makers.

Since May 2015 he has been an independent consultant, dedicated to sharing his experience with others about tackling climate change -both national and international levels– giving presentations, being facilitator at events, in media interviews and debates, by contributing to climate policy and strategies and capacity building in developing countries.
